There's a deer running on a moonlit frozen lake
He flails, he falls
Coyotes salivate, coyotes celebrate
One day the skeleton sinks
And time spins
There's a moonlit canal house
Hear it roar, hear it pop
Sleepy-eyed neighbors sit on docks
The blaze glowing in their eyes
And the planet spins
There's a moonlit woman filled with hatred
For songs unsung (and even wrongs unrung)
Her torch she may drop
But her burdens won't stop
And the galaxy spins
